Hooks, Texas police officer Cole Ogden and a couple of public works employees were doing their best trying to corral a lost pig at the intersection of Grant and Washington streets Monday afternoon.
All of a sudden, 34-year-old Arianne Swenson came rushing toward the trio, allegedly shoved the public works officials in order to get them away from the pig, and repeatedly disregarded orders from Ogden to "step back and let us do what we had to do."
Apparently, this was Swenson's pig, and has been the subject of numerous repeated citizen complaints in Hooks, with Swenson being warned multiple times to "keep the pig put up."
Well the pig got out once again, and after shoving the two officials and ignoring Ogden, Swenson proceeded to swing at the officer, striking him in the face with a closed fist!
Swenson was immediately arrested, and is facing charges of assault on a public servant, which carries with it a sentence of two to 10 years in prison if convicted.
And on top of all this, Swenson's husband, 37-year-old Aaron Caleb Swenson, is currently being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $1 million on charges of attempted capital murder for allegedly livestreaming himself on social media in April driving around the Texarkana area searching for a police officer to murder.
Lovely couple.
