Seven swans-a-swimming...five golden rings...a partridge in a pear tree...we're all familiar with the 12 Days of Christmas, but how much would it actually cost to purchase each item in the song as a gift?

PNC Financial Services recently released their annual Christmas Price Index, which calculated all twelve gifts, and have determined in total, the 12 Days of Christmas would cost over $41,000.

Now that's just for one of every time. If you were to buy things over and over as the song suggests, it would cost you nearly $180,000!

The most expensive item is the seven swans-a-swimming, which will cost you $13,125, or $1,875 each. The cheapest, which you could probably guess, is the partridge in the pear tree. The partridge will cost you just $20.18, though the pear tree will run you $202.50.
