The Las Vegas Sphere is quickly becoming a monumental concert venue.
Performances by U2, Phish, and Dead & Company are being lauded for their technical aspects and production value, and music fans are just waiting for the next artist to announce a show there.
It seems that we may have an answer for that very question.
In a recent sales earning call, Sphere CEO James Dolan seemed to all but confirm that the Eagles will soon be taking residency inside the Sphere!
Dolan said in the call per USA TODAY, "Every time an act books the Sphere, they have to create content around it. We will never have an act play the Sphere that doesn't have something compelling on the screen … I think you're going to find (with Dead & Company) that even if you're not a Deadhead, you're going to love the show. And I think the same will be true for the Eagles and the next acts we bring on."
Unfortunately when asked to confirm the rumors, neither Sphere Entertainment Co. nor the band's representatives had further comment.
No Eagles performance have been confirmed beyond June 14, though the band initially said after kicking off their Long Goodbye Tour, that those shows could run until 2025.
