In just nine days, we'll all need to adjust our clocks as Daylight Savings is coming to an end. If the time change always gives you a headache don't worry, you're not the only one.
Whether we spring forward or fall back as we're set to do November 5th, the time change associated with Daylights Savings can lead to folks suffering from cluster headaches which according to ABC 12, can occur every day for six to eight weeks and then go away in a cluster cycle.
Apparently, the portion of our brain that is the generator for cluster headaches is also the portion of the brain that manages our circadian rhythms. When the time change interrupts our circadian rhythm, headaches occur.
Also, those that suffer from migraines may find that their sleep is affected by this change, which will also cause t an increase in headache frequency during this period.
