Apparently, turning 40 is the line of demarcation for language.

An article from the website Best Life found some of the slang terms that you should stop using after you turn 40. Best Life says that using slang "makes you look less hip and more like you're going through a mid-life crisis."

The TOP 10 slang terms you need to stop using once you turn 40 include:

10 - Hangry. You're hungry, and you're angry about it.

9 - Sus. This means something is "sketchy," or "unreliable." It's short for "suspicious."

8 - Basic. This means having an overt interest in "mainstream or conventional things."

7 - Oh, snap! Usually accompanied by a snap of the fingers.

6 - The struggle is real. Best used by young people because it's "semi-ironic," like when they "don't have enough change for fast food, or perhaps forgot their Netflix password."

5 - Cray-cray. If something is extra crazy!

4 - Lit. When something is so cool, it deserves recognition and to be checked out.

3 - Totes. An abbreviation for "totally."

2 - YOLO. "You only live once."

1 - All the feels. When you're just overwhelmed with emotion, you have "all the feels."
