Miles in the Morning has spent a lot of time on "tipping culture" lately, and with good reason. The expectation to tip when even when the service is nonexistent is a growing problem.

According to the NY Post, tipping saw an incredible surge as the pandemic grew worse and worse, delivery and restaurant workers, taxi drivers, manicurists and others, because obviously their ability to earn a living took a significant hit.
But as we move away from COVID-19, and inflation is at its highest peak in 40 years, society has cut back on tipping.
However, tips are not decreasing on servers at sit-down restaurants. In fact, data from Square found that tips on average at sit-down restaurants rose to 21.2% from 20.6% from March 2021 to February.
