New broke Saturday afternoon that Tom Brady was hanging up his cleats and retiring after playing 22 season in the NFL.
Or is he?
It wasn't long after NFL insider Adam Schefter reported Brady's retirement that word came from Brady and his team that he has yet to make an official decision on his future in the NFL.
Well it turns out Brady has a great reason for officially declaring himself retired yet.
According to Total Pro Sports, a clause in Brady's contract states that he is due to receive $15 million from his $20 million signing bonus Friday February 4th, but he is not entitled to it if he retires!
So looks like we'll just have to wait until February 5th to hear anything official from Brady.
