At the beginning of the NFL's offseason, Tom Brady announced his retirement from the league, only to announce his unretirement and intention to play another season with the Buccaneers.
However, upon his actual retirement, Brady already has another career lined up.
FOX Sports announced yesterday that the network has signed Brady to the most lucrative deal in sports broadcasting history to become its lead NFL analyst when his playing career is over.
Brady will call games alongside lead play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt according to ESPN, and will work as an "ambassador" for Fox with a focus on "client and promotional initiatives."
FOX CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced Tuesday during a corporate investor call, "We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season," Murdoch said.
Brady tweeted that he is excited to eventually join Fox but noted that he still has "unfinished business" as a player.
Upon his retirement from playing, which Murdoch said was "entirely up" to Brady, he will sign a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX, which would be the most lucrative in sports broadcasting history.
