Early tomorrow morning in the wee hours of the day, there's going to be a full Beaver Moon.
And it might be an event worth waking up for, as tonight's total lunar eclipse will turn the Beaver Moon completely blood-red!
According to Space.com, the partial eclipse will be the longest in 580 years, lasting for lasting 3 hours, 28 minutes, and 23 seconds, the peak of which will be at around 3:02 a.m. Texas time.
This type of moon got its name because at this time, beavers are preparing for winter to come, and really has nothing else to do with the animal. Still, it's still really fun to say "Beaver Moon."
