First, we saw massive waves of people trampling over one another to get their hands on an exclusive Stanleyat Target.
Now, the same kind of fervor has overtaken Trader Joe's. But it's not a $50 cup people are after, it's a $3 tote bag.
Like lions stalking their pray, sveral videos posted online show crowds of people hovering around the totes waiting for the moment they're allowed to approach. Once the crowds disperse, only a few bags remain.
We're assuming several of those bags ended up on eBay, where some people are selling them for as much as $1,000!
According to FOX 4, these totes are made of the same material and come in the same colors as the regular bags Trader Joe's offers. The only difference is the size; these totes are smaller at about 13 inches long and 11 inches tall.
In a statement posted to their website, Trader Joe's told customers to contact the store to learn about the current availability.
"Since posting, the details of this item may have changed due to fluctuating market prices, federal regulations, currency rates, drought, bandits, rush hour traffic, filibusters, zombie apocalypse, punctilious product developers... Contact our Crew for current price and availability."
