You know, giant slides are fun. There's no bones about it.
However, this giant slide in Detroit is getting all kinds of attention for all the wrong reasons after several videos have gone viral of kids being launched into the air and crash-landing hard while taking it for a ride.
The metal slide is located on Belle Island, an island park in Detroit, and these kids get absolutely destroyed! Thankfully, no injuries have been reported as a result of this slide, but these incidents could have gone very wrong VERY quickly!

And because nobody has gotten hurt, plenty of people are having fun with it.
A Detroit rapper named Gmac Cash even wrote a new song in honor of the slide, and it's appropriately titled "Giant Slide."

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, which has operated Belle Isle since 2014, told The Detroit News they waxed and washed the slide's surface to slow down riders and it is expected to re-open for the second time this weekend.
