If you were stuck in traffic on southbound 75 near Beltline on Monday afternoon, it's likely because of this accident. An 18-wheeler was carrying vegetables when a car zipped between lanes ahead of the semi. This caused a box truck to swerve erratically and lose control of the vehicle.
The smaller truck slammed into the median, and the tractor-trailer rammed into him. The big rig driver captured the entire thing on video and released the dash cam footage. It shows the man in the box truck with his window down and his hand holding onto the outside of the door to brace for impact.
The semi also smashed into the barrier dumping her load of canned vegetables. Thankfully, no one was injured. As the trucker explains in her post, the box truck driver declined medical treatment. The big rig operator and her dog (who was in the front seat) were also unharmed.
