A Wheel of Fortune contestant lost this week on a technicality, and fans are livid and want the rule thrown out.
This past Wednesday, contestant David Pederson was attempting to solve one of the game show's crossword-style puzzles under the category "Catch of the Day."
He correctly guessed the answer of "Sole, Flounder, Cod, Catfish," but unfortunately when answering, he added an extra word and said, "Sole, Flounder, Cod, AND Catfish."
Host Pat Sajak said because of the added "and," it rendered the answer wrong, and another contest was able to swoop in and 'correctly' guess it.
Well, according to Yahoo!, Pederson's mistake has fans up in arms, saying the rule should be completely removed.
The "and" rule during crossword puzzles is the dumbest rule since the "you must wear a shirt" rule at Applebee's. #wheeloffortune

Despite losing that category, Pederson didn't leave empty-handed, walking away with $1,000.
