Rebekah told a story yesterday about how her husband James has dropped all of a sudden that he wants to go to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday, and Rebekah just doesn't think she has time to budget their finances for a trip.
Well, Rebekah's story caught the attention of a woman named Jackie, who says she is going through the exact same situation, only WORSE!
Jackie says her friend Linda is demanding Jackie and her husband attend her husband Troy's 50 birthday party at the very swanky Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Arizona.
The trip would cost Jackie and her husband over $5,000, and she just doesn't think they can swing it.
However, Linda offered to pay for Jackie and her husband to attend, and still Jackie declined because she said she didn't feel right having to have the very people who are celebrating paying for her and her husband to go!
Well that made Linda furious. She even told Jackie their friendship of 20 years is on the line, because she can't believe Jackie wouldn't want to be part of her husband's birthday celebration.
The last thing Linda said to Jackie was, "I hope you can live with yourself by not going especially when we are willing to pay for you to be there."
Does Jackie need to just accept the gift Linda is providing, or does Linda need to appreciate that Jackie can't afford the trip, and doesn't want the guilt of having her friend pay for their own party?
