The jury selection process has begun in the death penalty trial of Nikolas Cruz, the man who at the age of 19, opened fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, murdering 17 people and injuring 17 others.
One prospective juror, only known as "Miss Bristol," told Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer that she could not effectively fulfill her role as a juror, and her reason why is the basis for our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning.
Miss Bristol told Judge Scherer that she could not effectively perform her role as a juror due to her obligations to her "sugar daddy."
Judge Scherer was absolutely befuddled and quickly moved on saying "OK. All right. Ma'am, we'll come back to you, OK? Thank you."
Per Fox News, more than 120 of the first 160 prospective jurors were dismissed, including Miss Bristol.
People try to get out of jury duty all the time, but it is your civic duty, and the families of those children are relying on justice from a juror you could be a part of, and you're worried about your SUGAR DADDY?!!
