Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning comes from a woman who is having a little bit of trouble with her coworkers.
Apparently, she was approached by one of her coworkers about possibly giving her her vacation days, and she has refused.
The thing is, her coworker is a mom, and used up all of her vacation days throughout the year on sick days and days when she had to take care of her children.
The woman has banked a TON of vacation days, and her coworker believes that since she doesn't have any kids, she should be more than willing to pawn off some of her vacation days to her.
But the woman is hesitant because A) Why would anyone willingly give up their vacation days, and B) her coworker doesn't need her vacation days to take care of her kids or anything, she wants to use them to go out of the country on a vacation!
So what should this woman do? Should she give in to her coworker, who says her time is less valuable than hers because she doesn't have children, and therefore give up her vacation days?
Or should she stand pat? Those are her vacation days after all, she earned them!
