Beatrice Salt is a 27-year-old woman with one particular obsession: My Little Pony.
In fact, the woman has spent $27,000, including dipping into her mortgage savings, to fund her collection. Her ponies take up an entire room in her home, which she has dubbed the "pony room." She says of her massive collection, "I have been known to prioritize ponies over things I need. Some days are more difficult than others and there's only one thing that can cheer me up which is a pony."
Salt's collections has grown to 580 ponies, with the most expensive costing nearly $400. Salt says, "As a kid, I remember thinking they were the cutest things I have ever seen. The collection is nostalgic for me as it brings me back to when I was a kid. I'll always remember opening My Little Pony presents at Christmas and birthdays."
