A woman on Reddit is wondering if she's in the wrong for wearing white to her friend's wedding.
Now we know what you're thinking: "Uh, OBVIOUSLY."
We know it sounds bad, but the woman explained in her post that she only wore white because her friend, the bride, said it was "ok!"
The woman wrote that she's been helping her friend "Charlotte" plan the wedding the last 18 months, and has even provided financial support over the last year-and-a-half. Unfortunately, it all came to a head when the woman asked Charlotte her opinion on what she should wear to the wedding.
Charlotte dug through a pile of clothes the woman put in the "no" pile, and found a dress the woman "put firmly in the 'no' pile for being white."
Charlotte said she liked the dress, and insisted the woman wear it.
Unfortunately, come wedding day, Charlotte's mood appeared to have flipped 180 degrees.
The woman wrote, "When Charlotte comes out of her dressing room for some [last-minute] pictures, she looks shocked to see me, and then she starts turning red."
Charlotte proceeded to yell at the woman, and ask her why she wore the white dress.
The woman wrote, "I ask her what the problem is, because SHE picked the dress out, and she told me it was a 'friendship test' and that if we were real friends then I wouldn't have worn a white dress or her shoes to her wedding."
Charlotte ended up kicking her the woman out of the wedding! Because she wore white, even though she told her to!
Understandably, most everyone on Reddit backed the woman, and thought Charlotte's actions were insane.
Should the woman have known better to wear white to a wedding, even though Charlotte, the bride, said it was ok? What are your thoughts on the idea of a "friendship test," or a test of any kind for a relationship?
