Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning comes from Matt (not his real name) who has a bit of a pickle growing between his wife and their nine-year-old daughter.
Apparently, the woman feels like she has to compete with her daughter on Valentine's Day.
Apparently, Matt goes all out on Valentine's Day for his daughter, including daddy-daughter dates, valentines, candy, the whole gamut.
Unfortunately, Matt's wife feels like she has to compete with her own daughter for Matt's affection on Valentine's Day. Matt keeps telling her that he's showing his daughter so much attention before she gets too old. Plus, he wants to show her what it's like to be treated properly by a man.
We can understand Matt's sentiment, but is this fair to his wife? Her feelings are valid, and we're sure she doesn't want to compete with her own daughter on Valentine's Day, so is it time or Matt to distribute the love?
