Twelve years ago, World War II veteran Frank Grasberger received a letter thanking him for his service that touched him so much, he carried it with him wherever he went.
Grasberger tried desperately to connect with the 9-year-old DeShauna Priest who wrote him the letter, but they never could make it work.
Until now.
Grasberger was surprised by a visit from the now 21-year-old Priest, though he didn't know who she was at first. When he realized that this was the same person who sent him the letter as a young girl, he couldn't help but let the tears flow.
And the best part? Priest was now visiting Grasberger as a Army National Guard reserve! And if things couldn't get better, Priest pulled out a letter Grasberger wrote to her, that she also kept close for all these years.

Priest and Grasberger finally got to know each other and catch up after all these years, and now plan on keeping in touch from now on.
When explaining all the miracles he's received in life, Grasberger told Fox8 "And now I met the girl that signed me the letter…and that is a real miracle. That really is."
