Unless it's actually your wedding, we all the best part of any wedding is the reception.  We can take or leave everything else.

With that in mind, a group of twentysomethings have begun throwing fake weddings in order to have the gigantic reception party, without all the pomp and circumstance of someone actually getting married.

Fake weddings have been popping up all over the country, from Houston to Boston to New Jersey and even Argentina, where the company Falsa Boda will plan and host your fake wedding for you!

It's a growing trend among young folks.  Ini Owotade grew up in Nigeria, and now lives in America.  Back home, he would go to multiple weddings a week, but in the States that frequency just isn't there.  But he still desires the party.

Owotade told Buzzfeed, "You can go to three weddings in a week when you're back home in Nigeria, but in America you don't get that vibe.  I haven't gone to a wedding in four years. None of my friends want to get married. I thought I might as well make a fake one."

Owotade has created his own business planning and throwing these fake weddings, complete with a fake bride, fake groom, the total works.

For his first event last summer, which was attended by 200 people, he gave away the first 50 tickets for free, and sold the rest for $50 a pop.

For one of his latest events, he sold an estimated 300 tickets for $70 each, which may seem like a lot until you learn he spent $20,000 to throw the party!

As for if any of these participants are worried the fake weddings will drum up feelings and desires about wanting the real thing, Owotade isn't worried.

When asked if he wanted to get married, he said, "Of course, when God permits.  I've gotten married twice.  Fake married, but yes, definitely, I want to get married.  Marriage is a beautiful thing."
