The Flower Mound Rebels are youth football team playing in a league comprised of 7 and 8-year-olds and they are good. Very, very good.

The team in undefeated and have outscored their opponents 199-6 through the first seven games of the season. And now, the team is getting kicked out of the league. For being too good.

The Flower Mound Rebels joined the Keller league due to Covid, and now, they are being forced out of the league due to their dominance.

Rhett Taylor, vice president of the Keller Youth Association, told NBC DFW, "This is the Keller league, not the Flower Mound league. In my mind, they've dominated our league. My team got one first down all game. And my team is good."

However, the Rebels' coach Ragan Montero sees things a little differently, and is accusing Taylor and the Keller Youth Association of trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. She said, "He's a sore loser. That's all it comes down to. He's changing the rules so it benefits him."

The Keller Youth Association told the the Rebels they were still welcome to play their final game this weekend, but would not be eligible for the playoffs, no matter what their record.

Montero credited her team's success with hard work with their success, and the players just want to play. 8-year-old center Greyson Tanner said, "I was just very sad. I feel like we deserve to play in the playoffs. I want for us to actually just finish our games. That's truly all I want. I'm new to tackle football and the shotgun."
