Author Mary Higgins Clark, Dubbed the 'Queen of Suspense,' Dead at 92

Best-selling suspense author Mary Higgins Clark, died Friday night in Naples, Florida, according to Simon & Schuster. She was 92.

"It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to the "Queen of Suspense" Mary Higgins Clark," the book publisher tweeted. "She passed away peacefully this evening, January 31, at the age of 92 surrounded by family and friends."

Clark was born in the Bronx and was the author of more than 40 best-selling books.
