"If I were a 'filterer' I would have gotten rid of my lines and my dark circles, but this is me at 50. #zeroglam #zerofilter," she captioned the mirror selfie.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum expressed her interest to push back against unattainable beauty standards for the sake of younger women.
"Why do I mention this all the time? Because I think it's important for young women to know that being flawed is truthful and real, and that filtering yourself into someone fictitious is actually damaging to girls' and women's self esteem," she added. "It's courageous and beautiful to be real at any age."
“I realize that fake and filtered sells,” she continued, “but I’m happy over here with my followers who appreciate the difference.”
Many of Frankel’s famous pals were quick to share their praise at her honesty.
Paris Hilton commented with a fire emoji.
“Beverly HIlls, 90210” star Jennie Garth chimed in with the praise hands emoji.
While Frankel’s fiancé, Paul Bernon, showed support with the heart-eyed, smiley-face emoji.
In March, it was reported the couple became engaged just as Frankel finalized her years-long divorce from ex-husband Jason Hoppy.
Frankel and Hoppy were married in March 2010 and welcomed their daughter Brynn two months later. The couple separated in December 2012, with Frankel filing for divorce the following month.
While Frankel and Hoppy’s marriage was documented on three seasons of the Bravo spinoff “Bethenny Ever After,” their divorce played out in the courts over the course of eight years.
Frankel and Bernon have been dating since 2018 and have yet to reveal a wedding date.
