Maria Menounos reveals both parents are hospitalized with COVID: ‘We still need prayers’

Maria Menounous has disclosed her mother and father have both been hospitalized with coronavirus.

The former E! News host revealed her parents are in two separate Los Angeles medical facilities, according to Today.

Menounos said she had initially flown to Los Angeles right before Thanksgiving to help her mother, who has been battling a brain tumor.

Shortly after landing, the 42-year-old learned both parents had tested positive for COVID-19.

"We land, and that's when this all started. I'm just going to share that we're in process right now, and we still need prayers,” Menounos said on the latest episode of her “Better Together” podcast.

"First it was my mom. They had rushed her to the hospital when I landed," she added. "I found out, and then a few hours later, my dad tested positive. It was absolutely surreal."

Since then, Menounos has been on the phone around the clock with their medical teams at two different hospitals.

“It's been pretty insane,” she shared. “I've kept focusing on what my desired outcome, and not what my fear was, and that helped me a lot. I think as it has extended, and I’ve become more and more tired, fear creeps back in."

While her parents are still in the hospital, Menounos asked for prayers and gave thanks to everyone that has offered support during this harrowing time.

“Grateful beyond to all the doctors, nurses and staff who are taking such incredible care of my parents” she wrote in an Instagram post. “We will get through this with faith, great care and love. We are still in process but I couldn’t stay silent any longer.”
