Earlier this week, the U.S.Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency authorization for an antibody treatment for COVID-19 patients. Bamlanivimab is allowed for people who are 12 or older and weigh at least 88 pounds. They suggest it be used on those who are at high risk and/or hospitalization. This includes adults who are 65 years or older and people with certain chronic medical conditions.
