While reporting on some of the host city's dining options, the “Today Show” host found her self getting stuck to a rainbow-colored batch of cotton candy.
The journalist shared the hilarious moment as the sweet treat refused to come off of her hand during the live broadcast.
“When cotton candy attacks,” the 49-year-old joked in the caption.
Before experiencing the messy situation, Guthrie tried the sweet treat.
“It’s never coming off,” she said in the clip while trying to remove the candy from her arm.
After swirling it around, the cotton candy eventually flies off into the air.
“Okay, got it! I’m good,” she said as Kotb applauded from the “Today” studio in NYC.
Last week, after a long day of traveling, Guthrie announced she had touched down in Tokyo ahead of the summer's Olympic Games.
"It was worth every minute, every hour and every mile. This is Tokyo. It's after midnight, and we're here!" she said.
The video showed off the Tokyo skyline with the caption, "1.5 hour commute to airport / 3 hours at JFK / 14 hour flight / 2.5 hours at Tokyo airport for COVID test / customs / immigration / 30 min ride to hotel / Worth. Every. Minute. / I ❤️ Tokyo."
