My mom,Jackie, is 68 years old and lives on a fixed income. Sadly,she had a house fire on Saturday and has lost everything.It’s a total loss. She left her house on Saturday to run someerrands when a neighbor called her about the emergency.The fire chief has ruled it accidental and says it started withher gas stove. It was either a leak or a faulty knob on thestove. She is okay and they were able to save her cat, butother than a few items of importance, she lost everything shecalled home for the last 11 years. She was alreadystruggling since she had paid $900 for repairs on her van.She is talking with her insurance to see where we go fromhere, but we are unsure how long that will take. She isstaying with me and my family until we can get her back onher feet. I guess I’m just asking for help with some essentialsand things of need.
