Greenville Police Chief Ken Miller held a press conference Thursday morning to announce an arrest has been made in the infamous Julie Valentine Case.

Miller says he identified Brooke Graham as the one responsible for the little girl's death in February of 1990. She is now charged with homicide by neglect.

The baby was named "Julie Valentine" because investigators wanted to honor the deceased infant, and her remains were found in a box along Verdae Boulevard the day before Valentine’s Day by a man who was picking flowers for his wife.

This iconic case led to the Julie Valentine Center, a Greenville-based nonprofit that helps victims of sexual assault and child abuse, to name itself in the little girl's memory.

Miller credited both scientific technology and his incredibly dedicated team of investigators for the arrest made in this 29 year-old cold case.
