The I-85/385 interchange will be closed -- "a complete shutdown," engineers say -- from 11:00 o'clock tonight (Wednesday) until 5:00 o'clock tomorrow (Thursday) morning. That's to allow repainting of the pavement on '85 and work on the new '385 overpasss.
(Traffic will be detoured to the I-85 southbound conector at exit 51B and onto I-385 northbound to Roper Mountain Road,. back to I-385 southbound then to exit 36B for the return toj southbound I-85. Just follow the signs. Again that's as of 11:00 pm...and weather permitting.)
