A tractor-trailer fire shut down all lanes of traffic on Interstate 85 in Greenville County earlier today.
It happened on the southbound side of the highway around mile marker 52, which is just north of the 85/385 interchange and near all the Gateway Project construction. Apparently, a box truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer truck and burst into flames. It happened just after 9am this morning. All southbound lanes had to be closed.
The State Department of Transportation said that as of just after 1pm today, all lanes reopened.
The State Highway Patrol said there were no injuries from the incident.
