Officials say three firefighters were hurt while battling a home fire in Berkeley County.
Berkeley County officials said the firefighters should recover from their injuries.
Authorities say two firefighters were trapped when the front wall of the Monck’s Corner Home collapsed on them as they fought the fire Monday morning.
One firefighter broke an ankle and needed surgery, while the second spent several hours in the hospital.
Officials say a third firefighter was treated later for burns.
Authorities say no one was in the home at the time and it took an hour to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
