Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is offering free training for people who want to learn how to work in construction. The program is part of a partnership with the Northside Development Group to help people in the neighborhood train for jobs and learn while they're working on hospital construction projects.
S-R-H-S Construction Manager Jason Head said Northside residents get training for jobs and they'll work on projects in their own neighborhood.
“They have a large number of construction projects that we need to start to help the rebuilding process and a part of that will be a means to create jobs for many people,” he said.
