GVL Road Closures

The City of Greenville has announced the following road closures starting today and lasting through the weekend.

Road Closures

1)   Main Street, between North Street and Beattie Place, will be closed from 3pm to 10pm today for Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive.

2)   The following streets will be closed for Artisphere.

Today, Thursday, from 5pm to 11pm: 

  • Main Street, between Court Street and Wardlaw Street
  • Broad Street, between Laurens Street and Falls Street
  • Falls Park Drive, between Rhett Street and Main Street 

Today, Thursday, from 7pm to 11pm: 

  • River Street, between Boggs Street and Main Street
  • Augusta Street, between University Street and Main Street 

3)   Main Street, between North Street and Beattie Place, will be closed from 3pm to 10pm on Friday, May 10 for Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays.

4)   The follwing streets will be closed from 5am to 2pm on Saturday, May 11 for the TD Saturday Market:

  • Main Street, between Court Street and Washington Street
  • McBee Avenue, between Laurens Street and Brown Street 

5)   The following streets will be closed from 7:30am to 10:30am on Saturday, May 11 for the Zoom through the Zoo race: 

  • Lakehurst Street, from Woodland Way to Cleveirvine Ave
  • Woodland Way Circle, from Woodland Way to Woodland Way 

Because of the above road closures, these are the Greenlink deviations for the next few days: 

Due to road closures associated with Artisphere, the following fixed route bus stops will not be serviced from Thursday, May 9 at 5pm through Saturday, May 11 at 6:30pm: 

  • River St & Falls Park Dr – Routes 2, 4, 6, 10 
  • River St & Rhett St – Routes 6, 10 
  • Rhett St & N Markley St – Routes 2, 4, 6, 10 
  • Augusta St & S Main St – Route 10 
  • Augusta St & University St – Route 10 
  • Augusta St & Field St – Route 10 
  • Augusta St & Thruston St – Route 10

The trolley schedules have also been altered to coordinate with the festival:  

No trolley service on Thursday, May 9  

Greenlink Trolley

Friday, May 10

  • A trolley will provide park and ride service between County Square and the festival site from 6pm to 9pm 
  • The Heart of Main and Top of Main routes will run from 6pm to 11pm  (deviating around NOMA Square) 

Saturday, May 11

  • A trolley will provide park and ride service between County Square and the festival site from 10am to 9pm 
  • The Heart of Main and Top of Main routes will delay their start time until 2 p.m. and will run from 2pm to 11pm  

Sunday, May 12

  • A trolley will provide park and ride service between County Square and the festival site from 1pm to 8pm 
  • The Heart of Main and Top of Main routes will run from 1pm to 8pm 

Due to the festival road closures, the trolleys will be unable to service the following stops:

  • 100 Block S Main St 
  • 206 S Main St 
  • S Main St & W Broad St 
  • Falls Park Drive 
  • 720 S Main St 
  • 700 Block S Main St 
  • Augusta St & University St 
  • Townes St & W Elford St – Friday night only 
  • 225 N Main St (NOMA Square) – Friday night only

Top of Main Route

  • 100 Block S Main St 
  • 206 S Main St 
  • S Main St & W Broad St 
  • Falls Park Drive 
  • 225 N Main St (NOMA Square) – Friday night only
