
South Carolina police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a 6-mile police chase and gunfight that ended when a sheriff's deputy ran his car head-on into the suspect's car.The Herald Journal reports that Jerel Nathaniel Mosley of Lyman remains in the Spartanburg County Detention Center, where he was taken after being discharged from a hospital Dec. 13.He faces kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges in a Dec. 7 holdup, chase and gunfight.Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said then that deputies answered a report of a robbery with shots fired at a McDonald's. The gunman shot at deputies and police officers as he drove, and the gunfight continued after the crash.The gunman was hit several times, but no officers were wounded.
