Three Clemson University fraternities have been placed on probation following investigations into hazing and misconduct.
Delta Chi
Delta Chi was found in violation of Hazing and Disruption of Community and Ethical Standards Process.
The investigation was launched two days after the October 16th incident.
According to the report, new members were "required to participate in act of personal servitude among other concerns."
The incident was resolved in late November.
Delta Chi is on Disciplinary Probation until December 31, 2021 and must adhere to multiple other sanctions, including financial fees.Phi Delta Theta
The report states Phi Delta Theta was found in violation of Disruption of Community & Ethical Standards after they "were not truthful and forthcoming during an investigation interview process" following a September investigation.
The incident was resolved by mid-October; the fraternity must adhere to several sanctions.
They were placed on Disciplinary Probation through May 31, 2020.
Chi Phi
In September, investgiations concluded Chi Phi "forced to consume alcohol following the acceptance of their bids."
The incident, which began on September 13, was resolved less than two weeks later.
Chi Phi is on Disciplinary Probation through May 31, 2020.
They also face multiple sanctions.
