American Airlines to Halt Service to Cities

Soar no more.  American Airlines expected halt service to Greenville, North Carolina.

Federal Aid is expected to run out for American Airlines in October and with that, the Airline will suspend service to 15 small cities.

American Airlines announced in a press release Thursday they will be cutting service to 15 small cities beginning in October, when CARES Act Aid expires.  
Greenville Spartanburg International Airport works closely with American, actually one of GSP's biggest carriers.  
Tom Tyra Director of Communications and Air Service Development said the only city in South Carolina that will be affected by American's decision is Florence, South Carolina. 
Scheduled flights in and out of GSP will continue.
 
A total of 700 flights are expected to be cut from Americans schedule from October 7th to November 3rd.
