Absentee voting for the November 3rd election begins Monday in South Carolina, and both Republicans and Democrats say a final answer is urgently needed to a big question about the ballots.
Roger Davis reports:
Republicans, including lawmakers, the attorney general, Election Commission and the State GOP leaders signed on to an appeal to the Supreme Court filed yesterday.
The petition asks the high court to overturn the appellate court's ruling that upheld a district Judge's decree that says voters don't need a witness to sign their mail-in absentee ballots for an election in the middle of a pandemic.
Democrats and Republican party officials say the lack of a final decision will cause massive confusion among voters and probably election officials, too.
