
A Belton man was arrested today following a chase involving the Belton Police Department and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
Belton police were surveying a known drug location around 9 AM this morning when they say a suspicious vehicle leave a house in the Palmetto Parkway neighborhood.
The driver did not stop for blue lights, and a chase ensued towards Anderson.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office was called in for assistance in the pursuit; deputies joined the pursuit along Belton-Anderson Highway.

Deputies used used tire flattening device, which successfully flattened the front tires of the fleeing vehicle.
31 year-old Demetrius Antwan Jones arrested and charged with failure to stop for police, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and other traffic charges.
Jones is being held at Anderson County Detention Center.
