Police are searching for a Belton woman suspected of elderly neglect, child neglect and animal abuse.

Belton Police were called to a home on Blake Street Thursday afternoon after a code enforcement complaint was reported.

Inside, they found an elderly man with open wounds and uncared-for medical dressings.

Reports describe the home as littered with trash and insects without proper ventilation or fresh food.

Belton Police say further investigation found evidence of drug use in the home and determined a female resident, Lisa Ballew, continually exposed a small child to those drugs.

Police found several neglected dogs and established power to the home was being stolen from neighbors.

Belton Fire Department has condemned the home.

Police are searching for Lisa Ballew, who faces charges of neglect of a vulnerable adult, child neglect, animal abuse, theft of utilities along with other charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Police. The only description of Ballew given was a woman in her mid 30's.

The elderly man found inside the home is in protective custody and will receive proper medical care with the assistance of the Dept. of Social Services.
