A Walhalla man who assaulted a woman and barricaded himself inside a home... has been booked and in custody.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office drove out to a home on South Abbott Road February 24th on a domestic disturbance call.
Deputies found a female victim outside when they arrived while suspect, 33 year old Thomas Gregory Lockridge, Jr., had barricaded himself inside.
A SWAT team was used to enter the home. Deputies found Lockridge, Jr. unconscious and administered NARCAN (opioid antagonist).
Booked Friday, February 28th, Lockridge, Jr. has been charged with one count of domestic violence, third degree assault and issued a warrant for probation violation.
He currently sits in the Oconee County Detention Center on $5,000 surety bond.

(Walhalla, SC)---The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office officially booked into custody late last Friday evening a Walhalla man on a charge related to a Monday, February 24th standoff near Walhalla.
33 year old Thomas Gregory Lockridge, Jr. of South Abbott Road was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 10:37pm.
Lockridge, Jr. has been charged with one count of Domestic Violence – Third Degree for an assault on the female victim. Lockridge, Jr. was also served two General Sessions Bench Warrants and one warrant from South Carolina Probation, Parole and Pardon services for a Probation Violation.
The charge against Lockridge, Jr. was obtained as a result of deputies being dispatched to a call for service at 11:53am last Monday morning at an address on South Abbott Road regarding reports of a domestic disturbance and an assault.
Lockridge, Jr. barricaded himself inside of the residence.
Units from the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team made entry into the residence late last Monday afternoon and upon entry, deputies located the subject, who was unconscious.
Entry was made after the Sheriff’s Office attempted communications with Lockridge, Jr. and after the suspect stopped communications with a family member.
Narcan was administered by deputies to the Lockridge, Jr. Paramedics, along with a doctor who are part of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and were on standby, made entry to administer medical care. Lockridge, Jr. was transported to the hospital for treatment.
At this time, Lockridge, Jr. remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center.
He was given a $5,000 surety bond on the charge from the Sheriff’s Office.
