A south Greenville County man is free on bond pending trial on a charge of child abuse causing great bodily injury.
Police say 20 year old Ashton Clark's child was found unresponsive Saturday at his home in Simpsonville.
Clark is accused of slamming the child's head into a wall twice and throwing him against some furniture.
The arrest warrant says the youngster is in ICU for treatment of severe head injuries.
Clark was taken to the Greenville County Detention Center, but later released on 25-thousand dollars bond.
