Official news release from Greenville County Schools Director of Media Relations, Tim Waller, below:
DHEC has released the latest COVID-19 spread data. Once again, Greenville ranks HIGH in all three categories.
Based on this new information, the suspension of summer athletic programs in Greenville County Schools will continue.
Additionally, the postponement of Academic Recovery Camps until July 20 will remain in effect.
We will decide whether to extend the postponement closer to that date.
The goal of the camps was to help students in grades 3-5 recover academic content lost during the spring COVID-19 closure of buildings.
As we indicated earlier, DHEC will update the coronavirus spread-rate each Monday. We will continue to monitor this data and adjust our decisions based on that.
