
Anderson SC - Wednesday afternoon, Stephen Combs, president of the Board of Directors of Anderson Area Crimestoppers presented Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride with a check totaling $2,500 to assist the Sheriff's Office in obtaining another K9 team member following the death of K9 Officer Roscoe who died in the line of duty on August 12.
Sheriff McBride was joined by several Deputies as well as three K9 officers and their handlers.

The group provides a 24-hour hotline for anonymous tips to help the Sheriff's Office and all of Anderson County's municipal law enforcement agencies bring a resolution to ongoing criminal investigations.Anderson Area Crimestoppers is an all-volunteer community group that has been working with Anderson area law enforcement for the past 35 years.
Anderson Area Crimestoppers has helped law enforcement solve more than 100 cases with thousands of dollars paid out to tipsters.
In a brief cemenony in front of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Combs said "We recognize the extreme sacrifice faced each day by our men and women in blue and we stand with each of you in the pursuit of justice for victims of crime."
Combs also told the Deputies attending, "We greatly appreciate Sheriff McBride and the Deputies of the Sheriff's Office and hope that this donation appropriately represents our gratitude for your service."
