Released by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster man yesterday morning on a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – 3rd Degree.
42 year old Adam Stephen Keese was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 7:26am after turning himself in at the Sheriff’s Office.
Keese was given a $25,000 personal recognizance bond and was released on his own recognizance yesterday.
On November 12th of last year, a deputy was notified by an employee of the Department of Social Services of a reported assault that occurred between Keese and a minor female.
The assault involved only one victim.
The victim was in a safe location when the deputy was notified by DSS about the assault.
The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.
As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered in the case, it was determined that Keese had assaulted the minor between August of 2017 and May of 2018.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to preserving the integrity of the investigation and that of the victim, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further information at this time, including any and all information that could potentially identify the victim in the case.
