The Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision in Greenville County.
Master Trooper Gary Miller reports it happened just after midnight Monday morning on Smythe Street near Haynesworth Street about a mile west of Greenville.
The driver of a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle ran off the road and struck a tree. The driver was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released.
