A Spartanburg child is in the protection of Social Services after Doctors find numerous physical injuries.
Samantha Ann Turner, mother of the 6 year old boy, brought her child to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Wednesday June 3rd after he complained of arm and abdominal pain.

What Physicians found next was disturbing.
The boy was severely dehydrated. He had a dislocated shoulder, fractured bone in his arm, a severe burn on that arm and also a potential skull hemorrhage.
The Spartanburg Police Department was called along with Social Services.
Turner's account of how her son sustained these injuries did not corroborate with the evidence.
A Special Victims Unit Investigator interviewed the 6 year old, who said his injuries were caused by his mother and her boyfriend.
Investigators obtained warrants of Unlawful Neglect of a Child for Turner and boyfriend, Johnathan Christopher Wilson.

Wilson was arrested Wednesday night, but released 8 hours later on recognizance bond.
Turner, the mother, is being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
Press Release from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office:
On June 3, 2020, a 6 year old male child was brought to Urgent Care at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center by his mother with complaints of arm and abdominal pain.
The attending physician observed numerous physical injuries to the child, and when the mother’s account of how her son sustained these injuries didn’t corroborate with the physical evidence, the doctor immediately notified law enforcement and the Department of Social Services.
The child was also severely dehydrated. The Spartanburg Police Department initially responded and conducted a thorough investigation, which determined the incident location was in the county and notified this agency.
A special victims unit investigator responded to the urgent care and interviewed the child, who disclosed his injuries were caused both by his mother and her boyfriend.
The victim was transferred from urgent care to the emergency room, where it was discovered he had a dislocated shoulder and a fractured bone in his arm.
The victim also had a severe burn on that same arm.
The doctors at Spartanburg Regional decided the burn injury was the most immediate concern that needed to be addressed; so the victim was transferred to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of that, and subsequent testing revealed this victim also had a potential skull hemorrhage.
The victim was placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services.
Our investigator interviewed the mother and attempted to locate her boyfriend without success; so he presented the findings of his investigation to a magistrate judge who approved warrants on both suspects for Unlawful Neglect of a Child. The mother’s boyfriend is Johnathan Christopher Wilson of Spartanburg. He was arrested last night and was in jail only 8 hours before being released on a personal recognizance bond.
The mother is Samantha Ann Turner of Spartanburg. She was arrested approx. 50 minutes ago and is at the detention facility where she will appear before a magistrate later today for arraignment.
This agency would like to thank all the medical personnel and the Spartanburg Police Department for their invaluable assistance with this case.
