Chattanooga residents Dan Ryan and Donald Sayers created serviceindustry.tips to assist those workers financially.
The website allows visitors to select a city and donate to a randomly selected neighbor who works in the local service industry.
Donors can send money directly with Venmo or Cash App; the website does not charge fees or collect data.
"Every time you have a drink at home during social distancing, consider tipping a local service industry worker through Venmo or Cash App," the website suggests.

Although it is not a permanent solution, the site creators say the morale boost makes a big difference.
At the time of this writing, the website covers 20 cities across America, including Greenville.
