One dead after a fatal crash on I-85 earlier today.
Trooper Joe Hovis reports the crash happened today in Spartanburg County just after 1:30 PM.
Near the 63 mile marker, a Freightliner tractor trailer was slowing in traffic; the car behind it, a 2000 Echo, hit the tractor trailer from behind.
The driver of the tractor trailer was seat-belted and injured.
The driver of the Echo was seat-belted, entrapped, and mechanically extracted.
They were pronounced dead on the scene.
