The Anderson County Coroner's Office has released the name of the Anderson Police Officer killed this morning in a fatal collision.
Highway Patrol reports the crash happened on SC 24 around 6:09 AM.
A 22-year-old driving a Dodge SUV crossed the center line and struck the Officer Ethan Kaskin's vehicle head on.
Officer Kaskin was entrapped and had to be mechanically extracted; he died at the scene.
The 22-year-old was injured and taken by EMS to AnMed.
The crash is still under investigation.
